Adding a Measures Portlet

The procedure to add a measures portlet depends on your license.

  1. In DivePort, browse to the page where you want to add the portlet.

  2. On the DivePort toolbar, click Edit to unlock the page and enable edit mode.

    The Edit menu item is replaced with edit tools, including a page context menu chevron.

  3. On the toolbar, click the chevron.
  4. On the page context menu, click Add a Portlet.

  1. On the Add Portlet page, double-click Measures Portlet.

  2. On the Select a Marker dialog box, browse to the Spectre Dive, marker, or DiveBook file that you want to use for the source data, select it, and then click OK.

    DivePort populates the Edit Measures Portlet with your Closedselected file.

  3. On the Edit Measures Portlet dialog box, select the column properties that you want to apply, and specify the columns that you want to appear.

  4. Click OK.

    The ClosedMeasures portlet is added to the page.

  5. On the toolbar, click Save to save your changes and exit edit mode.

  3. On the toolbar, click the chevron.
  4. On the page context menu, click Add a Portlet.

  2. Browse to the data source that you want to use, and then click Next.

    NOTE: Depending on the type of project that you select, you might need to select a folder and file as well as a project.

    The Select dimensions Closedpage opens.

  3. Select the dimension that you want to appear as the first column in the portlet, and then click Next.

    The Edit Measures Portlet page shows the selected project and dimension.

    NOTE: The measures portlet displays data for one dimension only. However, you can add the ability to change the dimension that displays.

  4. If you want to customize the appearance of the dimension column:

    1. Click the Change the dimension icon Icon that looks like four squares arranged two by two..

    2. Place the pointer on the Closedcolumn name, and then click the Edit this column icon Image of the edit this column icon..Location of the edit this column icon.

      The Dimension settings, Column settings page opens, which you can use to customize the column heading label, width, and font.

    3. Click OK.

      DivePort returns to the Dimension settings Closedpage.

  5. If you want the portlet to be able to change the dimension that displays, select Allow Dimension Changing, and then under Available Dimensions, use the Remove this column option to customize the list, leaving only those dimensions that you want to be available for display.

  6. When you have finished customizing the dimension columns, click OK to return to the Edit Measures Portlet Closedpage.

    NOTE: Even if you selected additional dimensions in step 9, only the primary dimension appears on this page.

  7. Click Add a column.

    The Select a chart type Closedpage opens.

  8. Select an Indicator type, and then click Next.

    TIP: If you want to add a numeric column, select Text as the indicator type.

  9. Select one or more column values from the list, and then click Next.

    TIP: If you want to add multiple columns of the type selected in step 12, you can select multiple values in this step. For example, if you want to add three text columns, select Text in step 12, and then select three values in this step.

  10. If you want to add another column, click Add a column, and then repeat steps 12 and 13.

  11. If you want to customize an indicator column, place the pointer on the Closedcolumn name, and then click the Edit this column icon An image of the Edit this column icon..

  12. Edit the properties as you like and then click OK.

  13. Edit other columns as you like.

  14. On the Edit Measures Portlet dialog box, click OK.

    The ClosedMeasures portlet is added to the page.

  15. On the toolbar, click Save to save your changes and exit edit mode.
