Adding a Mockup Portlet

To evaluate how chart, graph, or indicator objects can be arranged on a new or existing page, you can add a one or more mockup portlets.

TIP: If you are mocking up an entire page, consider using background portlets to divide the page into regions before adding the mockup portlet elements.

To add a mockup portlet to a page:

  1. In DivePort, browse to the page where you want to add the portlet.
  2. On the DivePort toolbar, click Edit to unlock the page and enable edit mode.

    The Edit menu item is replaced with edit tools, including a page context menu chevron.

  3. On the toolbar, click the chevron.
  4. On the page context menu, click Add a Portlet.
  1. On the Add Portlet page, select Mockup Portlet.

  2. In the Title box, enter a name.
  3. If you want to add mock CrossLinks to the portlet, select CrossLink.
  4.   If you want to add mock DownLinks to the portlet, select DownLink(s).

    The on text box appears to the right of the check box.

    Text typed in the on box appears as part of the tooltip associated with the mock DownLink.

  5. To surround the portlet with a dashed line, select Dashed line.

  6. To add a tooltip, next to ClosedNotes, click Change.

    NOTE: You can use HTML to format the tooltip text in the Edit Notes dialog box.

  7. Optional. In the Size box, enter values for width and height in pixels in the format width height (for example, 800 800) if you want to customize the size of the portlet.

    TIP: You can also change the size with a click-and-drag operation on the portlet border.

  8. Under Please select a portlet type, select the type of portlet, indicator, or graph mockup that you want to add to the portlet.

  9. Click an image to display in the mockup portlet, and then click OK.

    The Closedmockup portlet appears on the page.

  10. On the toolbar, click Save to exit edit mode and lock the page.
