Adding a Menu Portlet

A menu portlet is typically placed on the top level page of an environment, but you can add them to other pages.

IMPORTANT: Before adding a menu portlet, DI recommends that you create the DivePort pages that you want the menu portlet to link to, and have a list of the IDs of those pages available as well as URLs to external pages that you want the menu portlet to link to.

NOTE: The procedure to add menu portlets was enhanced in DivePort 7.0(56). Earlier versions required extra steps to customize the menu portlet buttons, and only allowed links within the portal.

TIP: When you use a manual or one-column page layout, you can customize the look of the page by adjusting the position of the menu portlet to provide room for additional portlets on the page.
