Adding a Link Portlet

You can use the link portlet to create alternate navigation within a portal and to access relevant pages outside the portal environment.

To add link portlets to a page:

  1. In DivePort, browse to the page where you want to add the portlet.
  2. On the DivePort toolbar, click Edit to unlock the page and enable edit mode.

    The Edit menu item is replaced with edit tools, including a page context menu chevron.

  3. On the toolbar, click the chevron.
  4. On the page context menu, click Add a Portlet.
  1. On the Add Portlet page, select Link Portlet.

    The Edit Link Portlet Closeddialog box opens.

  2. In the Link Name box, enter a label for the link.

    This name becomes the link on the DivePort page.

  3. In the Link URL box, enter the link URL.

    NOTE: When you link to a page that is outside of the portal, DI recommends that you use the entire URL, including the protocol (http:// or https://).

  4. To Closedadd another link, click Add, and then repeat steps 6 and 7. You can do this as many times as you want.

  5. If you want the linked pages to open in a new window, select Open in a new window.

  6. Click OK to save the links.

  7. On the toolbar, click Save to exit edit mode and lock the page.
