About Document Manager Portlets
DivePort users can use the document manager portlet to open and view documents.
First, you must create a structured repository of documents on the web server, and then enable access for users. You can customize a set of available files for each user. Users are able to click and open documents with a MIME type that is understood by DivePort, the web server, and the browser.
The files available in a given instance of the document manager portlet, and their corresponding storage mechanism, are collectively called a repository. The document manager portlet supports multiple repositories. Therefore, you can create multiple document manager portlet instances, each containing different documents. The files defining the repositories are stored as a subdirectory of the DivePort installation directory. This does not need to be the location of the actual documents.
