Configuring DIAL in Workbench
To use DIAL, the server settings need to properly specify the DIAL and Java program file locations. To configure DIAL on a server:
-
Open a DiveLine connection. See Opening and Closing Connections.
-
Select Tools > Server Settings.
The General tab displays.
-
Select the Advanced tab.
-
In the Executables - DI Software section, locate the Dial line item. If the path is not set, browse to the dial.jar file.
-
In the Executables - External Software section, locate the Java line item. If the path is not set, browse to the java.exe file.
-
Save the server settings.
NOTE: A user is required to run the DIAL scripts. This user needs to be a Developer with access to any files that their DIAL scripts use. See Server Settings Overview for information on adding and editing users.
