Adding a Table of Contents Portlet to a Page

The table of contents portlet allows you to link sets of pages using the existing parent/child relationships between those pages. Because the table of contents portlet relies on pre-exsting relationships, DI recommends that you create the parent page and at least some of the child pages before adding the table of contents portlet.

When the necessary pages are in place, add the table of contents portlet as follows:

  1. Locate the page ID of the title page.

  2. Go to the page where you want to insert the table of contents portlet.

  3. On the DivePort toolbar, click Edit to unlock the page and enter edit mode.

  4. On the toolbar, click the Edit the page content chevron.

  5. On the page context menu, select Add a Portlet.

  6. On the Add Portlet page, double-click Table of Contents Portlet.

The Edit Table of Contents Portlet dialog box opens.

  7. In the Title Page, ID box, paste the ID that you saved in step 1, and then click OK.

A basic table of contents listing the parent page and its child pages appears.

  8. Customize the colors, backgrounds, and fonts using the properties in the Edit Table of Contents Portlet dialog box.

When you add a new child page to the title page, the new page is automatically added to the table of contents.
