Upgrading to 7.x and Workbench

With the Diver Solution 7.x upgrade, you have the new Workbench IDE that consolidates all of the previously disparate tools. This allows you to work more efficiently and simplify your work environment (see Welcome to Workbench 7.0 Help and Workbench Interface Overview).

You can continue to work with 6.4 content using special virtual projects (see Special 6.4 Virtual Projects).

When you upgrade and initialize DiveLine, the system applies a best guess when mapping license levels for your users (see Conversion of 6.x Licenses to 7.x).

After upgrading, your 6.4 content should function as before:

  • Model, Markers, DivePlans and ACLs
  • User folders and DiveBooks
  • Integrator and Productions scripts
  • DivePort portals

NOTE: You can continue to manage your Diver data as before, using DI-Config to maintain DiveLine settings, without creating new Workbench projects which require adopting the new access control paradigm.
