What's New in Workbench?

Workbench is an integrated development environment (IDE) that centralizes access to all Dimensional Insight development components. Workbench simplifies and accelerates development and deployment of Diver projects by standardizing the developer experience. The IDE combines previously separate components, such as Production, Visual Integrator, DiveLine Config, DiveMaster, and DIAL scripting, and gives developers enhanced functionality.

With the Workbench project-based approach, developers can collaborate from a central repository and administer multiple applications. In Workbench, developers can collect, assemble, and configure your business data for secure delivery by Diver clients.

Workbench is available to both Diver Solution and Diver Platform customers.

The Spectre build and query data engine optimizes build and run-time performance. To do this, Spectre takes advantage of the latest hardware and software advances, such as multiple cores for parallel processing, larger amounts of memory, and advanced compiler technology. The Spectre cBase database uses columnar technology, which provides quick and compact builds, improves cache performance, and enables dimensions and info fields to be defined at run time. The Spectre calculation engine compiles to machine code to maximize hardware utilization so that run-time performance for time series, dimcounts, multitabs, and other calculations are faster.

Spectre requires a purchase of Diver Platform.

DiveTab is a mobile data delivery platform from Dimensional Insight with a simple common interface for both the iPad and PC—the user experience is the same across devices. Designers can build pages that present data in either tabular or free-form layouts with menus and buttons to add functionality and simplify the interface. Basic colors indicate potential actions: a white background indicates detailed information, while a colored background indicates diving options. Intelligent caching and the Spectre data engine ensure rapid delivery of big data. DiveTab can also organize and deliver less structured data, such as presentations, documents, images, and videos.

DiveTab requires purchase of Diver Platform with DiveTab.
