A marker is a type of file that contains a record of the specific steps and details of a ProDiver dive. You can use a marker file in DivePort to reenact a ProDiver dive. Markers do not contain data. Therefore, when you open a marker file, DivePort reproduces the dive steps using up-to-date data. ProDiver saves a marker as an mrk file or as a DiveBook entry.
