About MultiTab Chart Click Actions

Similar to how columns in MultiTab charts appear as a group of categories in the chart portlet, each row-scoped click action is split into multiple actions that display in a context-sensitive menu.

The following example shows a MultiTab column chart displaying the sales units of:

  • Sales Region dimension
  • Product Family category
  • Row-scoped Info click action

Because the click action applies to several product family rows, when you click the South Shore dimension, DivePort provides a list of click actions to allow you to select which row you want to view.

When a click action is split into subactions like this, DivePort automatically adds an identifying string to the click action label, in this case, Product Family=<x>. Alternatively, you can use variables to specify the click action label such as "For product $(ROW_STRING)" and DiverPort uses your setting instead.
