About Mockup Portlets

You can use mockup portlets to preview design elements before adding them to your page or designing a new page.

The mockup portlet provides a close approximation of various page elements without underlying data. You can use them to design a page before the data is available. Each page element requires its own mockup portlet. You can use several mockup portlets when planning a portal page.

The following example shows a line graph mockup. Three boxes show where optional CrossLinks, DownLinks, and tooltips will appear.
