About DiveBook Portlets

A DiveBook portlet loads a DiveBook from the DiveLine server and displays its areas and topics. For example:

DiveBook portlet options allow you to specify if topics open directly in the portlet or portal, or in a licensed application, such as ProDiver, NetDiver, Excel, or Adobe Acrobat. When opened in the portal, the display includes a Back Closedlink to return to the DiveBook portlet instance. Items opened in Excel use the xlsx format.

In DivePort 7.1(23) and later, you can specify that the user's default DiveBook, defined in Workbench, opens in the portlet. If the user does not have a DiveBook assignment, the message The current user doesn’t have a default DiveBook configured appears.

NOTE: If you have a Measure Factory license, the DiveBook is generated during the factory build. It contains the following areas:

  • All Measures
  • Scopes (Available in ProDiver 7.1(30) and later)
  • Data Sets
